Some new businesses are expected to open in the neighborhood very soon! Here are some we’re excited about!


PKL will open a 21,000 SF pickleball/restaurant/entertainment concept at the Cole Hersee building as part of the Iron Works development in the spring of 2022.

Mei Mei

If you like dumplings, you’ll love this news! Founded by Chef Irene Li and her two older siblings, Mei Mei will be opening a dumpling factory and cafe in the Cole Hersee building in the spring of 2022! Mei Mei features unique and delicious dumpling flavors with a focus on local farm to table ingredients!

Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza

Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay is expected to open a Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza at 368 Congress Street in Fort Point. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, a meeting is slated for the restaurant to request a beer and wine license from the City of Boston.  Expect bottomless pizza as part of this concept!

Mecha Noodle Bar

Mecha Noodle Bar is hoping to open at 44 Thomason Place in the Fort Point/Seaport neighborhood. Boston Restaurant Talk is reporting the proposed dining spot is seeking a full liquor license and would include a dining area, bar seating, and mezzanine level seating.

Shy Bird

If you like chicken, you’ll love this news! Boston Restaurant Talk is reporting that  Shy Bird – a comfort food restaurant – is hoping to open on Old Colony Avenue in the new Iron Works building. Shy Bird’s menu features half and whole chicken, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken shawarma pita, pretzels, , macaroni and cheese, braised short ribs, salads, burgers, beer, wine, cider, and cocktails.
