The pavilion on the waterfront has a new name: Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion

We can remember when it used to be called Harbor Lights. We’re talking about the amphitheater on the South Boston waterfront where we saw Culture Club and the Human League back in 1998. Last year it was the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion and it was just announced that it’s now going to be the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion.

We’re thrilled to be a part of Boston’s Seaport community and support this wonderful performing arts venue that has entertained so many families, residents, and visitors over the years,” said Christopher Oddleifson, Chief Executive Officer of Rockland Trust. “We look forward to being an active and engaged neighbor and building relationships in one of Boston’s most exciting neighborhoods.”

“Rockland Trust has long-standing, deep roots in the community, and will now have the opportunity to power truly vibrant experiences in a premier venue through live music,” said Andy Peikon, SVP, Venue Sales, Live Nation. “We are excited to have found the right partner to contribute to Boston’s already bustling art and culture scene.”

BankBoston, FleetBoston, and Bank of America also had their names attached to this popular concert venue.
The pavilion hosts about 40 events and around 180,000 attendees a year.
