Congratulations to all the couples who celebrated 50 years of marriage or more at Mayor Marty Walsh’s 41st Annual Golden Welcome Anniversary Celebration.

The couples – including these three from South Boston – celebrated their love at the Four Seasons hotel and enjoyed lunch, cake, champagne and dancing to a live band.

Susan Gailunas, who was in attendance, was celebrating 53 years to her husband Peter Gailunas, said the key to a long and happy marriage is “patience and having a sense of humor.” She also joked, that the fact she is hard of hearing “probably helped a little too.”
