Help out

St. Monica’s Food Pantry and South Boston Grows are joining forces this year but they need your help, Southie!

The pantry is open every second and fourth Wednesday of the month and sees up to 100 individuals that are in need of groceries like bread, canned goods, produce and milk.  South Boston Grows, an educational community garden, has been harvesting delicious crops from their edible gardens around the neighborhood since 2009. During the growing season, harvested food is donated to local food pantries like St.Monica’s and utilized in cooking programs locally.

Volunteer!  St. Monica’s is looking for willing and able bodies to help with the pantry in many aspects like pick-ups, filing paperwork, distributing food and more.

If you are interested in volunteering or making donations,  please contact South Boston Grows at [email protected].
