Be a good neighbor
Caught in Southie received a few photos of spot savers put out by residents trying to get one over on their neighbors. The first photos (above) were taken on I street. The spot savers were put out while the snow was falling. That’s a violation of Rule #1 – you can’t put out a spot saver until after the snowstorm (and only during a Snow Emergency).
The second one was on N Street on Monday afternoon. Very little, it not any shoveling (Rule #2) was done in the situation and again – a Snow Emergency was not in effect.
Last week, a KFC bucket was used to hold a spot after 1.2 inches of snow fell.
We need to do better. Be a good neighbor! Here’s a refresher of the Unofficial Rules for Saving a Spot after a Snowstorm.
