Southie Shoutout to Mark Little from Abacus Construction for the new dock for the Harry McDonough Sailing Program

The board of directors of the Harry McDonough Sailing Center, along with our elected officials and the entire neighborhood, would like to thank Mark Little and his crew from Abacus Builders for the beautiful new dock they built for the program!
Each July and August, the Harry McDonough Sailing Program at Castle Island brings all the joys of summertime ocean sailing lessons to kids 8 to 14—and for FREE. This year, the program—founded in 1972 by Southie resident Harry McDonough—is entering its fifty-second year. Originally created with the goal of teaching the blind how to sail, it has expanded to welcome all children from all neighborhoods! It truly is a neighborhood gem!
A special fundraiser will take place on Thursday, June 13th from 6pm-9pm. Join Senator Nick Collins and State Rep. David Biele, along with the board of directors of the sailing center, for a summertime cocktail reception at the sailing center located at Pleasure Bay.
Enjoy food, drinks, and live entertainment by legendary Southie band Thomas Park by the seaside.
Suggestion donations: Solo $100, Skipper + First Mate $150 (Couple), Captain + Crew (family) $300.
See you there!
