Let’s hear it for Southie’s own Mac Casper on his game winning goal on Sunday to keep Catholic Memorial alive in the Super Eight high school hockey tournament! Casper, a senior, scored the goal with only 34.5 seconds to spare against Burlington High School. Final score was 2-1. The other goal was scored by fellow CM senior – Zach Callahan.
Catholic Memorial will face St. John’s Prep on Wednesday, March 4th at 6pm.
Way to go, Mac! Mac Casper is the son of Mona (Connolly) and Tommy Casper. All three of CM’s coaches – Larry Rooney, Timmy Murphy and Brendan Flynn are all South Boston natives.
