One cool kid! CHILL’IN in Vail

A big southie shout-out to Southie girl Keira Ahern – an ambitious and adventurous 7th grader who is no stranger to trying new things.  One summer she spent 21 days aboard the Schooner Roseway and travelled with students from all over the world to Nova Scotia as part of her participation in the Summer Leadership Internship Program through the South Boston Neighborhood House aka The Ollie.

Now she will be “CHILL”ing in Vail, Colorado to the US Open of Snowboarding.  The CHILL Foundation’s snowboarding program has been partnering with the Ollie and more recently the Curley Community Center and have introduced the sport of snowboarding to many kids from South Boston.  Keira was chosen from many to journey to Vail to meet with other CHILL participants from all over the US to represent South Boston and The Ollie in March.

Way to go, Keira!
