Southie Sea Levels Rising: Climate Ready Boston

We all have seen the rapid transformation of South Boston when it comes to the development boom and ever changing landscape of the Southie restaurant scene.  But did you know that our neighborhood is also identified in the Climate Ready Boston report as the most exposed to future sea level rise and as a key flood entryway.

A new City of Boston project will help identify short- and long-term solutions that will protect South Boston and beyond! The project will kick off in Fall 2017 and run through Summer 2018. Stay tuned for more updates.  For now, you should check out the map of the project focus areas and take the survey to help get solutions!

If Southie goes under water, a lot more goes under with it. Not a great thing to hope.

According to Al Gore, Lower Manhattan would be under water by 2016. How did that turn out? Don’t believe the global warming hysteria. Southie will never be flooded.

If the sea were in fact rising, shouldn’t Nova Scotia be more concerned than Boston?
