Southie Native Pat Morris aka Moose Drops Debut Album ESSENCE This Friday

South Boston native Pat Morris — aka recording artist Moose — is ready to introduce himself in a big way.
His debut album ESSENCE drops on Friday, April 17, and it’s more than just a release; it’s been years in the making. Blending R&B, alternative, and hip-hop influences, the project reflects his journey, his growth, and a sound that’s entirely his own.
Moose has been teasing the album on Instagram, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to get here, including a leap of faith that changed everything.
Years ago, a close friend bought the pair one-way flights to California so Moose could leave his 9–5 behind and fully chase music. Since then, it’s been a grind filled with highs, lows, and plenty of rejection, but he stuck with it.
“This album was built on my time, my money, and my belief in the sound me and my team created,” he shared. “I’ve been told no more times than I can count, but I never let that shake what I believe.”
“I don’t know exactly what’s coming next, but I know I gave everything to this — and I’m proud of that. This is my real introduction.”
Local talent, big moment. Give it a listen this Friday! You can listen to Moose’s music here via Spotify.
Moose is the son of Brian and Marylou Morris. He’s also one of our favorite bartenders at Fat Baby!
