To run a marathon is a big deal, to complete six major marathons in six different world cities is a monumental accomplishment! Inspired by his older brother Dan, the South Boston native began a personal goal with small steps – first to train and complete the Boston Marathon. From there, he moved on to the Chicago Marathon. It was clear, Joe had the running bug. After Chicago, he completed the London Marathon followed by New York and then Berlin.
The final feather in his cap was Joe’s completion of the Tokoyo Marathon earlier this month! He did it! He accomplished an important personal goal – 6 World Major Marathons! Impressive to say the least!
Way to go, Joe! You’ve done Southie proud!
You can read his personal account of his life goal here!
