Play ball!

On Sunday, April 26th, South Boston Little League celebrated opening day at Moakley Field drawing a crowd of family members and friends.  Commissioner Jimmy Burgio wished the teams a great season and thanked the coaches and parents for their commitment and dedication to the youth of South Boston.  After a lovely blessing of the league by Monsignor Liam Bergin, Mayor Marty Walsh was on hand to throw out the opening pitch.  Local Southie legend John Healy sang a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.

Here’s to a great 2015 season!
