South Boston Street Festival – Saturday, September 14th
Best of South Boston
The South Boston Chamber of Commerce in partnership with South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation is pleased to announce that the 20th Annual South Boston Street Festival will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Over the past nineteen years, the festival has grown significantly and has become South Boston’s most highly anticipated events, attracting over 8,500 residents and visitors.
This year’s festival will once again feature “The Best of South Boston” including over 100 merchants, restaurants, artists and community organizations, which will fill the festival area from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Live Entertainment
Live entertainment will take place on two stages providing festival-goers with a fun-filled day. Entertainment will include performances by The Wood’s School of Irish Step Dance, Miss Linda’s Dancers, Ultimate Self Defense, The Boston Children’s Chorus, Southie’s own Thomas Park, Teen sensation X’s & O’s, and much more.
Kids Activities
FREE children’s activities include face painters, balloon twisters, caricature artists, and street performers, – be sure to keep an eye out for a roaming band of Pirates.
Eat/Drink Alfresco
Alfresco dining and libations will be available at; The Broadway, Café Porto Bello, The Playwright, and Roza Lyons. Enjoy a great selection of take-away food options from some of South Boston’s favorite food spots including; Backyard Betty’s, Capo, Fat Baby, Lincoln Tavern, Loco, the Paramount, Publico, Sweet Tooth Bakery, and more.
Shopping
Shop until-you-drop – enjoy outstanding one-day-only savings from local retailers including; Best Dressed, Bringing Up Baby, Covet, Deirfiur Home, Habit, Ku De Ta, Southie’s Own, Wears + Wares and many more.
Art
Local artists from the South Boston Art’s Association including; Dan McCole, Norman Crump, Deb Putnam, and several others will be displaying and offering for sale, one-of-a-kind originals and prints of paintings and photos from South Boston and far beyond.
