Save the Date: South Boston Neighborhood House Annual Fundraiser Returns This March – Celebrating 125 Years of the Ollie

Mark your calendars, Southie — the South Boston Neighborhood House is celebrating a major milestone with its annual fundraiser, The House Is Where the Heart Is, taking place on Friday, March 20th at 6pm.
This year’s event is extra special as The Ollie celebrates its 125th Anniversary, and it will be held at a new location — the Thomas Menino Convention Center — for an evening honoring legacy, community, and impact.
The night will recognize two individuals whose dedication has helped shape the future of the Neighborhood House:
- Joseph “Dodo” Nee Champion Award Honoring Frank McCourt, Jr., a longtime board member and former board president whose leadership was instrumental in strategic planning efforts, the creation of the South Boston Association of Nonprofits, and the development of SBNH’s home at 136 H Street.
- Amy K. Murray Angel Award Presented in memory of Susan Hurley, founder of Charity Teams and the driving force behind Team Ollie’s marathon fundraising efforts for more than a decade. Through her tireless commitment, Susan helped raise more than $1 million in support of SBNH’s mission.
Guests can also look forward to:
- Live + Silent Auction, led by auctioneer Tom Tinlin
- Golden Ticket – win a trip of your choice, including destinations like Los Cabos Sport Fishing for 2, Tuscany for 4, Jackson Hole for 2, Iceland for 2. Purchase your Golden Ticket Here
- Music by Dennis Taylor
- 125th Anniversary Legacy Merchandise, available exclusively at the gala (limited edition)
