Ready, Set, Row! Beach Sprints Return to Carson Beach This Weekend

There’s something exciting happening on the beach this weekend! The Head Of The Charles Boston Beach Sprints return to Carson Beach from Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26, bringing one of the fastest-growing rowing events to South Boston.
Unlike traditional rowing races, Beach Sprints combine a run across the sand with a head-to-head rowing race on the water before competitors sprint back to the finish line. The high-energy format will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, and fans can catch the action right here in the neighborhood.
The weekend kicks off with a Beach Sprint Clinic on Friday, followed by two days of racing featuring U.S. National Team athletes, local rowers, and competitors from across the country. Spectators are welcome, making it a fun excuse to spend some time at Carson Beach while cheering on the athletes.
