The first day of June signals the start of Pride Month. All month long, there are opportunities around the city (and beyond) to show off your rainbow gear and support the local LGBTQIA+ community.  Check back, as this list will be updated! 

City of Boston Pride Kickoff

The Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement and Mayor’s Office of Arts & Culture will be celebrating National LGBTQ+ Pride Month by hosting, supporting, and amplifying events that serve the local Queer community on Thursday, June 1st at 4pm.

This celebration of National LGBTQ+ Pride Month will feature the unveiling of Portraits of Pridea photography project that highlights LGBTQ+ leaders, which will remain on the Plaza for the entire month of June. The event will also include a flag-raising and several performances including Big Body Kweeng, Neon Calypso, Patty Bourrée, and more! You can get the full details here! 

Pride Parade and Festival

The Boston Pride Parade will take place on June 10th at 11am. Also on Saturday there will be two festivals: one on Boston Common from 12pm-6pm:

  • Main stage entertainment, headlined by Madison Rose

  • Local performers & speakers

  • Family, youth, LGBTQ seniors, quiet, and affinity areas

  • Health zone

  • Food trucks

  • Hundreds of vendors

and a 21+ celebration on City Hall Plaza at 12pm-6pm:

  • DJ & dancing

  • Local performers

  • Beer & wine

  • Vendors

If you live in Southie…

Dive into pride month with First Fridays: Poolside Pride at the ICA on June 2nd. Fetch your fiercest fit (shirt and shoes required) for harborside fun in the sun with Boudoir. Catch contemporary art, delight in a dazzling drag performance from Static, sip a summery drink, and dance the night away by the sea. You can learn more here! 

Bar Volpe is hosting an AperiTEAvo Pride Party on Saturday, June 3rd from 1pm-4pm. Get your dance shoes ready because DJ Stella will be playing. There’ll be spritzes, bubbles, cocktails, and rosé as well as snacks from the street food men. Tickets are just $5 with proceeds going to the National Center for Transgender Equality.

Castle Island Brewing some Pride Month events including June 7: Gay Men Board Game Speed Dating – 7pm – 9pm and June 15: Pride Month Themed Trivia Night – 7:30pm – 9:30pm

During the month of June, order the “Pride Cocktail” at Flight Club and 100% of the proceeds will go to Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth – a youth-led, adult-supported organization committed to social justice, and creating, sustaining and advocating for programs, policies and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community

Gather will host “Lady Gaga x Pride Brunch” on Saturday, June 10 from 10am to 3pm. Tito’s Vodka will hand out swag & samples from 11am to 2pm. Charity cocktail will be matched by Tito’s in support of a local LGBTQIA+ non-profit organization.

A special Pride Event at The Rocks at Harbor Way with Soul Cycle on June 11 at 12pm

The Broadway has curated a night of coastal delights to celebrate on June 13th from 7pm-9pm. Gguest will have the opportunity to savor four delectable servings of oysters prepared in various mouthwatering styles. To complement these oceanic delights, our talented beverage director will be crafting four unique and refreshing drinks, perfectly paired to enhance the flavors of the oysters.
Ticket Price: $35 per guest – Each guest will receive 4 oyster courses and 4 drinks.   All ticket proceeds will go directly to the Gay for Good charity, an organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism within the LGBTQ+ community. By joining us, you’ll contribute to their remarkable efforts to create positive change and foster inclusivity in the community. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here! 

Pride Party with Good Shop + Grays Hall

Play with Pride Pickleball Tournament at PKL will take place on Sunday, June 26th from 11am-2pm.  $75 per team.  You can register here. 

Take pride workout at Everybody Fights – on June 24th enjoy a Train circuit training class focused on building strength, conditioning, or both! Classes may include cardio, strength, and boxing rounds using stations such as suspension, rowers, bikes, battle ropes, turf, kettlebells, boxing bags, and more. Cost is $35 and benefits the Trevor Project.  You can register here! 

If you live in Dorchester…

Join @yellowdoortaco in celebration of Boston Pride Month! Be sure to order one of our special frozen Pride Margaritas made with Espolón Tequila & topped with a rainbow pop 🍭$1 from each drink sold will be donated to Youth on Fire, a confidential drop-in for young adults, 14-24 years old, experiencing unstable housing. These drink specials are available @ all three YDTs June 5 – June 30, 2023!

Take a 90 minute Pride Workout at Backyahd on Saturday, June 10th at 9am.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.   This donation-based class will be benefiting @bagly_inc – the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth.

Trans Resistance March & Festival  Featuring music, performers, vendors and a new, shorter and more accessible march route. At the Franklin Park Playstead. Takes place Saturday, June 3rd from 12pm-5pm.

Dorchester Brewing Co. has a whole slew of Pride Events taking place!  Pride Month Kick-Off Party at Dorchester Brewing: June 3 ALL-DAY party with live DJs, drag bingo with Boston’s Party Girl @wreakingharlowhavoc, themed paint ‘n’ pour pop-ups with @rahimgrayart, and MORE!

dbar is getting in the spirit with a Pride Show Tunes Tuesday on Tuesday, June 6th at 8pm.  On Friday, June 9th it’s a Pride Stop Light Party with DJ Rubi on Sunday, it’s a CommuniTEA on Sunday at 4pm on June 11th.

Enjoy Drag Brunch at Tenderoni’s on Sunday, June 4, from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m! Visit celebrity chef Tiffani Faison’s restaurant for performances from some of Boston’s best queens! Tickets are $75!

Come together for an evening of Spotlight Talks in the exhibitions “The Provincetown Printmakers” and “Jess T. Dugan: Coupled” as well as other activities celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities. Take a Pride BlueBike In celebration of Pride Month, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is rolling out 100 Bluebikes wrapped in a rainbow pride-themed design through the month of June. Blue Cross will also be donating $1 to Fenway Health in Boston for every ride taken on a Proud bike through the month of June. You can learn more here!
