Whether you’re happily single or loving life with your S.O. (read: significant other), “date” nights are for everyone. Grab the girls or call up #bae, and check out our picks on where to eat, where to play, and where to feel the love in Southie.

The Day Date
Keep things casual with a day out. Start with afternoon (or mid-morning) brunch at Capo, where a bucket of bubbly is sure to break the ice. (Or get the party started.) Or, stop by the Paramount, where foodies rejoice over buttermilk pancakes, French toast, and applewood smoked bacon.

Next, grab coffees at Cranberry Café or Java House, and walk off those mid-day calories at Castle Island. Mingle with the locals (and their pups), take lots of pictures and enjoy our little slice of heaven.

The Dinner Date
For an upscale vibe, reserve your table at The Maiden. Start with a charcuterie board and wine (because cheese counts as dinner…). Then hop across West Broadway and check out the late-night menu at Moonshine 152. Carnitas Nachos and Fried Rice are enough to make anyone fall in love. Or, opt to get a little crazy at Loco. Sharable tacos, guacamole, and margaritas make this the perfect spot for groups, couples, and just-friends alike.

The Play Date
If you’re the adventurous type, why not try something new with your beau? Rock Spot Climbing on Old Colony is just the place for daredevils and their dates. Learn to climb or sharpen your boulder-scaling skills 11,000 square feet of bouldering terrain, and helpful staff to help you get through it all. Celebrate after with beers and bites at Local 149 or the A Bar at Amrheins.
