New Southie

It is with a heavy heart that Caught in Southie reports, Phil Sheats, local resident and founder of New Southie – a South Boston based gay social group, passed away suddenly on February 7th.  Phil was an active participant in our community and he always had a smile for everyone.

Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.  He will be missed.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Trevor Project at thetrevorproject.org/MemorialandTribute.

More to follow.

  3. Come and celebrate the Life, the Person, the Legend, and our Inspiration ….Phil Sheats! As you know, Phil passed away on February 7. His family services were held on February 18 in Maryland.

We would like for you, his friends and family in Boston and beyond, to come together and celebrate his amazing life! Let’s give him a send off that he would approve of. We know that he’ll be checking to see that we do it right!

Come join us to remember a truly remarkable person!

A small donation will be collected for a South Boston based charity. More information will be forthcoming.

If you’re a New Southie menber and would like to invite friends to this event, please go to the New Southie group page and invite them to the group. Once they are invited to New Southie, they should receive the invite. Please message Rodney if you’re having any difficulties. Thanks.
