Old School Southie: Blizzard of 1978

42 years ago today, the Blizzard of 1978 dropped 27.1 inches of snow on Boston. In addition to sustaining winds of 86 mph.  It was a doozy.  Here’s an old school photo of Farragut Road. 

Not to be out done, five years ago, we survived Snowmageddon. A whopping 108.6 inches fell over several weekend.
