Usually a new year is filled with hope and positivity – well, not in #Southie in the neighborhood of the old Gate of Heaven School (I and Fifth). Someone took the time to spray paint – “Fuck Yuppies” but not just any yuppies – dog walking yuppies. Evidently non-dog walking yuppies are okay in this vandal’s eyes.
They also added the new year of 2015 – just in case anyone got any ideas that it was a old message.

um, is the walking of dogs a particularly 'yuppie' thing to do?
Unless all the CCTV cameras on the Church and school are fake and just there for show, this should be pretty easy to see who the culprit is.
Not sure if you have seen all the work put in to the landscaping around the church recently, but thye didn't do it to make it a dog park.
Stop perpetuating the myth that the Yuppies are always the victims. Don't be surprised if it was a Yuppie who did this.
Why would you not denounce this?
I walk through Gatey often and see people walking their dogs there and on the church lawn. Whether it is a yuppie, newbie, Scooby or old timey I don't know or care. Who lets their dog crap all around a church? You really have to not care about your neighborhood or anyone else's religious beliefs to do that. When I call someone out on it the excuse is always "I don't have a bag".
