Last season, the Harry McDonough Sailing Center had a late start thanks to Mother Nature damaging its docks.   With some fearing the wildly popular youth summer youth program may not open at all, it finally did by the end of July.

This season the sailing center is on track to open for a full season of fun in the sun with brand new docks on July 1st!  Recently installed, the new docks are top of the line and were secured through funding from the Community Preservation Act.

The Harry McDonough Sailing Center provides a free summer sailing program keeps over 100 local youths busy for the summer in addition to employing local teens as instructors. You can support this program by attending the annual fundraiser on Thursday, June 13th from 6pm-9pm at the sailing center.

UPDATE

If you would like to sign up your child (Ages 8-16)  for the summer program, you can stop by the center June 17th-20th and June 24-27 between 3pm-7pm.  (Note time change.  Initially, original sign up time was 9am-2pm but was changed to the afternoon sign up instead.)
