The South Boston Neighborhood House is hosting its first Moms Swap & Shop!

When: Thursday, April 25, 10 am-12 noon

Where: South Boston Neighborhood House, 136 H Street

What: Baby, Kids and Maternity Clothing Swap

Bring your clean, stain free, gently used baby, kids, and maternity SPRING/SUMMER clothes that you are done with to swap with other moms who can put them to good use.  The goal is that we can “go green” by swapping child essentials. Bring the clothes you are done with, go home with the clothes you need for the upcoming season.

Q:What if I have clothing that someone wants but they don’t have anything that I need?
A: In these cases you can sell your items for a nominal fee $1, $2, $3 perhaps. Definitely $5 or less.

Q: Can I bring baby equipment or strollers that I no longer need?
A:  Small baby equipment is fine.  Leave the big items at home.  We want to emphasize the “swap” and only sell items when the “swap” is not an option.

Q: I have a friend who is interested in the Swap & Shop but she doesn’t live in South Boston, is it okay for her to attend?
A: Yes!  As long as someone has clean, gently used items they are willing to swap, they are welcome.

Q: How will I know what clothing people are looking for?
A: We want everyone who can to join our Facebook Group: South Boston Moms Swap & Shop.  Then, people can post their wish lists on the Facebook group page to give others an idea of what they are hoping for e.g. “I am looking for girls shorts and t-shirts size 4T”
