Who doesn’t love a pretzel?

Be it a twist, rod, stick, soft or hard, pretzels have been pleasing tastebuds for centuries.  So let’s celebrate the pretzel and all its goodness!

Pretzel facts:

  • Pennsylvania is the center of American pretzel production for both the hard crispy and the soft bread types of pretzels
  • The average American consumer consumes about 1.5  pounds of pretzels a year
  • The annual United States pretzel industry is worth over $550 million
  • The pretzel is believed to have originated in Germany in the 1600’s

On Saturday, April 25th Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzels will be giving out free samples and celebrating with some pretzel fun at Faneuil Hall.  On Sunday, April 26th, Boston Pretzel in Faneuil Hall will be giving out free mini soft pretzels. 

The thing about pretzels is they make you very thirsty.
