A new season begins April 2nd – share a bike and go green. To celebrate, enjoy free Boloco, Ben&Jerry’s ice cream, 24-hour passes to Hubway, and more!  The free fun happens at New Balance Boston store at 583 Boylston Street from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday, April 2nd.

During this time of going green and being kind to the environment, the good people of New Balance bring you Hubway – a Boston bike sharing system.  With over 130 stations and a thousand bikes across the city, Hubway gives you an eco-friendly option for transit.

How does it work?

Rent a bike near your home or office and pedal to your way to your next destination. You can join Hubway and choose between options like an Annual, 3-day or 24 hour membership 9 months a year – the system shuts down in the winter months (no using Hubway bikes for parking space savers.) Rides less than 30 minutes are free.

Hubway Stations in Southie:

  • East Broadway in front of South Boston Library
  • Perkins Square were Dorchester St. and East and West Broadway meet
  • Dorchester Ave near P&G Gillette a block from Broadway Station

The scoop:

Hubway offers an $85 yearly membership.   There are also 24-hour and 72-hour passes.  For more information visit: http://www.thehubway.com/
