A new ABC TV pilot Hatfields and McCoys – a modern drama about the legendary families at feud will be shooting  the opening scene in South Boston.  Although the drama is set in Pittsburgh, a car chase sequence scene will be shot on West Third, onto A Street, and finishes in the dead end portion of Athens Street behind The Standard Rivet Company.  There will be a meeting tonight, Wednesday, March 27th at 7pm at the corner of A and West Third St.  to go over the schedule for filming, specifically to discuss the plans to work overnight.
 
The actually shooting will take place on April 2nd during the evening.  
 
The film crew ill be working closely with representatives from the West Broadway Neighborhood Association, the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, and the Police Department to make this a pleasant experience for everyone involved.
