Good Karma!

Our neighborhood UPS guy, Larry Fennelly, can add Good Neighbor to his list of titles.  Today, while on his delivery route, he stepped out of his truck at a stop and spied a check on the ground, made out to cash, and endorsed.  It was for $2,200. (Yikes!)

He noticed that it was drawn from a Mt. Washington account.  He quickly stopped by the branch on East Broadway and left the check with the manager.

Larry, then called his wife Christine to tell her the story.  Larry mentioned that the address on the check read Marine Road. Christine did a reverse look-up for the address online and found out the owners information.  Christine quickly called the couple to tell them that her husband had found their check and that it was up at the bank. “The relief in the man’s voice was palpable!  He immediately called my husband and thanked him with great gratitude,” said Christine.

Great people doing small but amazing deeds for our community!  That’s what makes South Boston the special place it is!
