Get to Know Whiskey the Weenie – our Unofficial Mascot of St. Patrick’s Day in South Boston

Do you recognize Whiskey? Well, if you look at the top of the page of this website, you’ll see the 4-year-old dachshund’s adorable face peeking out from behind our new logo! It’s perfect for a dog named Whiskey, wearing a festive shamrock headband to be our unofficial mascot! Just like, Caught in Southie, Whiskey is ready for St. Patrick’s Day in the neighborhood. We recently sat down with Whiskey’s owner to ask some questions of our cover model!
Is Whiskey called Whiskey because of the color of his hair?
Both the color and his dad’s favorite drink!
Favorite spots for a walk?
Thomas park or by the beach
Favorite treats?
Cheese and turkey
Likes?
Burrowing under the covers, being on laps, sleeping in a sunbeam, barking
Dislikes?
Men, walking in the cold, being woken up in the morning, other dogs
Favorite thing about living in Southie?
Lots of friends and family who babysit him so he is never alone!
