uncover the history of Southie

Believe it or not the city of Boston has an archeologist – Joe Bagely and Joe will be at the South Boston Public Library (646 East Broadway) on Monday at 6:30pm to discuss the rich history of Southie!

The South Boston Historical Society will be co-sponsoring this free event and topics of discussion will include Castle Island and Dorchester Heights, and also Southie as an industrial center and glass manufacturing hub. 

We have a feeling lots of fun facts and tidbits will be unearthed at this interesting lecture.  So make a plan to learn a little Southie history – you never know when it will come in handy.
