coming to town on Halloween!
The O’Brien family from Southie is one lucky family. They recently won a Red Sox Twitter photo contest and their prize is trick or treating with Wally the Green Monster! After submitting a photo of their son Brendan dressed as Wally himself, they found out they are the lucky winners and that Wally will be coming to Southie for some candy!
“We entered a picture of Brendan’s first Halloween dressed as Wally the Green Monster (three days after the 2007 World Series) in the Red Sox Twitter contest….and won,” said mom Nicole. Brendan is now 8 and this year will be dressing at Wendy from the fast food restaurant. His brother Aidan, 10 will be the Burger King.
If you would like to meet Wally, he and the O’Brien’s will be trick or treating in the K Street area near Beckler Ave. on October 31st around 6pm.

On a side note, in 2009 the O’Brien family were on America’s Funniest Video’s for a video of the kids singing Sweet Caroline. They won the $3000 second prize.
