winners!

South Boston has the best harbor and beach access of any neighborhood in Boston, so it’s no surprise that sailors Dana and Kathy Seero (who met at a sailing regatta in Marblehead) settled here 20 years ago – and they’ve passed their love of sailing on to their three kids.

Sailing from South Boston Yacht Club, the Seero family participated in the Boston Harbor Islands Regatta this past Saturday. Racing their Melges 24 “Interceptor”, they won a trophy for the top placing all-family crew.

This regatta raises funds to support Boston Harbor Islands Alliance programs. There were 91 boats in the regatta this year, ranging from a 21 foot Viper 640 to a 45 foot IMX. The post-regatta party and award ceremony was held on Spectacle Island.

Way to go, Seero family!
