I was held up on East Broadway last night as they let this “Bike Parade” travel in the middle of the road towards West Broadway. Some bikes had lights on them some did not, some bikers had helmets on some did not.

That I noticed there were 2 Boston Police Bicycle units, 2 Boston Police motorcycles, 3 Boston Police cruisers and a State Police cruiser. I’m going to guess that all 8 of these guys received 4 hours of detail pay (good for them).

When will people realize Boston is not a bikers city. Despite the police presence these people are lucky they weren’t hit riding down the middle of Broadway at 830 in pitch black.
