January is National Mentoring Month!

South Boston T.E.A.M. (Together Engaging Adolescents Through Mentoring) wants you to help make our community a little bit stronger! South Boston T.E.A.M. is a mentoring program that matches caring adults with teens from South Boston. Matches will meet once a week for at least one year. As part of the program, you will participate in such events like trips to Red Sox games, Six Flags, and Castle Island.

South Boston T.E.A.M.) has been awarded a Mentoring Matching Grant of $10,000 from the Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP), a statewide organization fueling the movement to expand quality youth mentoring to meet the needs of communities in Massachusetts. T.E.A.M.  is one of 26 mentoring programs throughout the Commonwealth to receive a Mentoring Matching Grant.

T.E.A.M. will use this money to create 12 new matches between South Boston youth and adult mentors while supporting the 26 current matches. So get involved!
