Artist Spotlight: Devon Bailey
Inspiration right in your own backyard
In addition to being a longshoreman, 22-year-old Devon Bailey is a very talented painter. Her neighborhood of South Boston, is one of her biggest inspirations when it comes to creating her art.
“I really like painting houses and buildings that catch my eye around the neighborhood, but I’m obsessed with painting Conley terminal. I love the containers and ships. It’s a really cool place,” said Devon.
She’s been painting for the last five years and oil paint is his preferred medium. Some of the local landmarks you can find in Devon’s collection of paintings include the Hood Milk Bottle, Sullivan’s, Farragut Road and Conley Terminal!
