Save the Harbor/Save the Bay
The forecast for today is perfect for the beach! To celebrate the summer on one of the cleanest urban beaches in the nation, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay is hosting 500 kids from the Boston area at a good old fashioned beach party and cookout today from 11am-1pm at Carson Beach in Southie!
At high noon all the kids will jump into the water as part of the celebration! We’ll bet they make a very big splash!
The 5th Annual Kids Beach Bash & Splash is hosted by Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s youth environmental education program staff, the Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Greater Boston YMCA.
This fun-filled event will features swimming, kayaking, fishing, beach games and other healthy outdoor activities as well as storytelling, songs and art on the shore.
Sound like a perfect day at the beach!
