Editor’s note: In an effort to promote small businesses, our SLIP Interns will be presenting features on small businesses in the neighborhood.

I visited Deja Brew on East Broadway to meet with the owner, Marissa, and chat about her business. For almost 30 years, this neighborhood spot at the corner of K and Broadway has been serving breakfast, lunch and lots of coffee!

Here are the 5 Questions I asked her.

How long has Deja Brew been in the neighborhood?

Almost 5 years.  It was the Cranberry Cafe before, so for 29 years altogether.

What does your menu feature?

Breakfast, lunch, and coffee!  Many of our items are homemade recipes!

What is the most popular breakfast item on your menu?

Breakfast Burrito with homemade guacamole.

What is the most popular lunch item on your menu?

Our turkey cheddar sandwich!

What is your favorite part of owning a small business in the neighborhood?

We love being part of the community and of course we love our customers!

I had fun stopping by and visiting Marissa at Deja Brew.  This weekend you can stop by on Saturday for a free cup of coffee compliments of of the Kaitlyn Keaney Fund – while supplies last!
