Valentine’s Day in Southie!

Romance is in the air! Bastille Kitchen – 49 Melcher Street has a romantic three-course prix-fixe meal being offered by Executive Chef Adam Kube. For $90 per person, guests will get to enjoy three spectacular courses that include options like Pan-Seared Foie Gras (with Pickled Mushrooms, Red Onion Marmalade, Grilled Baguette), Duo of Lobster (with Carotene Butter-Poached Lobster Tail, Glazed Fennel, Sweet Potato Parfait, Lobster-Shrimp Galantine Sauce Choron), and a Chocolate Mousse Parfait (featuring 64% Madagascar Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Cake, Raspberries). For those wishing to customize their meal even further, the dishes included on this special menu will also be offered a la carte.

Spice things up! Loco Taqueria and Oyster Bar will be feeling the love this Valentine’s with specials all weekend long. We recommend some of their famous Coco Margaritas and guac and chips for sure!

Second Annual Abes and Babes Anti-Valentine’s Day Gathering! Who needs love when you’ve got your bestie, your roomie or some guy you just met the night before to head out for a full Sunday Funday on Sunday, February 14th. Raise your glass to all the guys and gals who you didn’t make a love connection with this past year! But who knows, maybe you’ll meet someone special at Abes and Babes!

Brave heart! 2 for 1 Intro to Belay classes and Day Passes at Rock Spot Climbing. Nothing says, “I love you” like sweating together and holding each others lives in your hands. To help you “rock” this Valentine’s Day (pun so very intended), Rock Spot is offering two for one deals on our Intro to Belay classes and on all day passes. The Intro to Belaying Course will teach you how to tie the climbers’ knots and hold the ropes for another climber. The class generally takes 45 min-1 hour for 1-2 participants; larger classes are welcome. Must be 14+ to take the class. We’ve added extra classes for the 13th and 14th, but spaces are limited, reserve your spot today.

Family Affair! Coppersmith will be celebrating Valentine’s Day afternoon with the whole family on Sunday, February 14th. Featuring a new and improved kids menu, Coppersmith will be showing cartoons from 11am-1m on their 12-foot projector screen – so mom ann dad can enjoy a few cocktails with their brunch! If that didn’t get you excited, maybe this will. There will be a magic show too from 1pm-3pm. They will be serving brunch from 11am-3pm followed by lunch and an early dinner from 5pm-7pm. But once the kids have gone to bed, the lights will be dimmed and the music will be turned up! MVP Entertainment will be hosting a Southie Sunday Valentine’s Night with music by DJ Dolo + DJ Soulo with Kiss 108’s Mikey Vinci from 8pm-1:30pm! The two indoor food trucks will be serving food until 11pm. Sweet!

Kick it old school! It’s A Caught in Southie Valentine’s Takeover at the Seapoint! Southie DJ legend Dru Errico will be spinning the tunes at on Saturday, February 13th beginning at 8pm and we’ll be on the dance floor. Plan on dancing the night away to such local favorites like Happy Radio, Young Hearts Run Free and nothing gets things going like a little Barry White, amiright? Come join us! It’s gonna be really, really fun!

Valentine’s fun for all! Pastoral Artisan Pizza Kitchen and Bar – 345 Congress Street This Valentine’s Day weekend, Pastoral Artisan Pizza Kitchen and Bar will be hosting weekend-long events in the name of love (and good food). For dinner on February 12th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Pastoral will be offering guests prosecco paired with a dozen local wood and salt-roasted oysters for two for $40. For dinner on February 12th from 5 pm. to 10 p.m., Pastoral will feature discounted Italian wine and prosecco deals, specially added menu items, and house-made, hand-crafted chocolates for the table. Opening its doors for extended hours on February 14th, Pastoral’s brunch from10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature house-style jazz from DJ Chris Roxx and friends, music from DJ Sandy Poirer from Shag, a photo booth, specialty coffee drinks, craft cocktails, and small-plates brunch menu. For dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Pastoral will be offering family-style dining specials to enjoy with not just one loved one, but all of your loved ones.
