Pinky’s Deli

Local 149 is giving Southie another option for lunch.  Beginning Thursday, December 8th, Pinky’s Deli will be open at Local 149 serving up the best deli in town.  Serious sandwiches are the focus of their lunch menu.

Pinky’s sandwich board includes the house made Pink Peppercorn Smoked Turkey with havarti, bourbon bacon and malt vinegar aioli; Duck Club with house cured duck prosciutto and tart cherry bbq sauce; Salty Pig with Patrick’s Ham, soppressata, prosciutto, picked vegetables and cured tomato; and a Hot Pastrami on pumpernickel with mustard.

All sandwiches are created fresh at the bar by one of the expert “sandwich jockeys”.  The sandwich board prices range from $7 to $12

The lunch menu also features a hummus plate, the Local Burger, Statler Chicken Salad, tater tots and spicy pimento cheese fries.  Wash it down with an old fashioned root beer or cream soda.

What’s in a a name:

The name is a tribute to one of the owner’s beloved uncles whose favorite sandwich was Pastrami on Rye and loved a good deli.

Local will be serving lunch Monday through Friday and take-out is available.
