Tasty Burger

It seems as though the rumor mill has been a buzz lately regarding the new Tasty Burger on L Street.  One local resident has even gone so far to generate a petition against it.  Property owner Mike Norton wants to set the record straight and squash the negative rumors being generated about the future burger stand.

So here are 5 facts about the new Tasty Burger:

  • The tasty burger will serve delicious burgers, hot dogs and ice cream
  • There will be no alcohol sold at Tasty Burger
  • There is NO 2am license
  • It is NOT an eat it restaurant
  • Additional patio seating is being built in the rear of the building to avoid over-crowding in the front and to deter patrons from eating on residents’ stoops.

The Tasty Burger is currently under construction with a July opening in the works.

We’ll take ours with ketchup and mustard.

One question I have is whether this will be a seasonal operation (a la The Boat House and Sullivan’s) … I don’t see how a walk-up stand with only outdoor seating will be able to maintain its business in the (many) cold months.  But I haven’t heard anything about it being just a spring/summer joint … any insight?

So, since I live on the other side (down by Andrew) and transporting burgers doesn’t help them stay tasty, I guess I’ll still schlep to the Fenway one most times. I like supporting the neighborhood, but I want to be able to sit and eat my burger, regardless of weather…

Should be able to serve beer. That’s one of the best parts of the Fenway one.

The Fenway location is great. Sit down, indoor and outdoor, hip, casual with an artsy vibe. Wish this location would serve beer, c’mon it’s burgers and fries. We want these places to not just survive but thrive. It’s good for the neighborhood.

How late will it be opened? I am glad there will be no alcohol sold there, the amount of drunk people coming out of the bars is loud enough for the neighbors, don’t need them lingering at the burger joint creating more noise

If YOU have a complaint about noise, this is probably not the best forum to address it.  How about calling the police or your local rep???
