Molly Moo’s  – the new ice cream shop at L and 2nd  is open for business.  Serving up homemade ice cream, coffee, tea and dessert – this new spot promises to be wildly popular come the warmer weather!

Speaking of ice cream, we heard JP Licks may be interested in the old Flood Square Hardware spot on East Broadway between I and K.  Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

Hip! Hip! Hooray! Yoberry will reopen for the spring in April!  We also hear a satellite Yoberry may be opening inside of Boston Bagel Company at L and East Broadway.   For now, this is just a rumor.  

In Fort Point restaurant news, Internal Matter, a wine bar and coffeehouse is now open at 35 Channel Center St.  Fort Point’s restaurant/bar scene has been growing by leaps and bounds!  Featuring breakfast and coffee during the day and wine, beer, and comfort food at night, Internal Matter promises to be a local favorite.  Hours are 7 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.

Where’s the beef? Apparently down the Southie waterfront.  According to Boston Eater, Ocean Prime is hoping to open next winter at 100 Pier 4.  This high-end national chain will join the likes of Morton’s and Del Frisco’s and will serve steak and seafood in a “supper club” atmosphere.  Steaks start at $40.  Start saving, Southie!

Guess what? Fromage on West Broadway – is set to open THIS WEEK – (March 25th).  The much anticipated wine and cheese bar is rumored to have soft opening on Wednesday or Thursday.   We continue to wait with bated breath.  From what we hear, it’s beautiful inside! 

Things are moving and grooving on the construction of Coppersmith.  The much anticipated restaurant is moving forward with renovations at 40 West Third Street and hopes to open in the spring 2015.  This future hot spot will feature farm-to-table, an outdoor patio, a rooftop garden, and food trucks.

6th Gear – the old Wolfie’s/Sauce at the corner of L and East Fourth was rumored to be opening this winter.  The father and daughter owned spot seems to have come to a complete stand still.  6th Gear will feature classic comfort food, a 10 seat bar with a 1am close.  Hopefully it will open in the spring!
