Dalia is putting Southie on the national dining map!

Dalia, located at 429 West Broadway, has landed on The New York Times’ 2026 list of its 50 favorite restaurants in America. The annual list is unranked and was put together by a 16-person scouting team that traveled across the country checking out restaurants. From the article:

Many Spanish restaurants in the United States still mostly peddle a tapas ideal from 30 years in the past (delicious as it may be). But Dalia treats Spanish cooking not as a destination but a point of departure. What are the words “dan dan” doing on this menu? That dish is the chef Nicholas Dixon’s sly nod to the Sichuan dish, but the noodles are calamari, and pork and peanuts are smoky sobrasada and almonds. Patatas bravas are engineered pavé style, the potatoes sliced thin and shingled, then fried into cubes even crispier than the original. But what turns heads fastest is Dalia’s kaleidoscopic, through-the-looking-glass dining room. Depending on where you’re seated, you’re bathed in sun-drenched whimsy, in brooding red-velvet hush or the golden glow from the open kitchen’s Basque grills, which coax Iberico pork into something fire-kissed and feral. KEVIN PANG

And Dalia wasn’t just one of the Boston restaurants selected — it was the only Massachusetts restaurant to make this year’s list. Portland’s Douro was the other New England restaurant included.
