Wolfie’s

Wolfie’s closed suddenly without warning last week and caused quite a stir of questions including, “Will it open again?” With less than a year in business under its belt, Wolfie’s seemed to undergoing some growing pains and owner Billy “Wolfie” Connolly thought he’d nip some issue in the bud.

“We will re-open with a new chef, new menu and some changes to the interior,” says Wolfie.

What should we expect?

  • A new simplified menu with prices ranging from $14-$19
  • a vast craft beer selection
  • sleeker interior including the elimination of some of the flat screens
  • food served until midnight
  •

The new and improved Wolfie’s should be reopening soon.  We’ll keep you posted!

    – hire and train courteous & attentive servers

    – do not rush diners out the door by clearing partially finished drinks and food before they are ready

Ya.  This place will still suck.

we don’t need another 149. we have one of those, and it’s great, but one’s enough. i actually think they should have taken it in the other direction – more causual, cheap beer, bar food, less polished feel than the beer garden or playwright… sawdust on the floor type of place. basically L street but with food. that place would do well.

I thought the servers were nice. I think it has a lot of potential. Location is perfect. The TVs did always throw me off. Why compete with the larger sports bars which we already have too many of in Southie. Take the TVs down and align more closely with a Paramont style restaurant. Have dining music, serve wine, craft beers and good food with moderate prices and it’ll be a great addition to the east side. No more sports bars please.
