Nobody loves a margarita as much as us! Thursday, February 22nd is National Margarita Day and the perfect excuse to head out in the neighborhood to celebrate!
Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar in South Boston goes HAM for the holiday and it is the one day of the year when they offer pitchers of their signature “El Jefe” margarita with Peligros blanco tequila, house triple sec, fresh lime juice and a dash of agave, perfect for purists. Bar Manager Kaitlyn Fishcer is also doing a special off menu Blood Orange Creamsicle Margarita with tequila blanco, triple sec, lime juice, their house coco mix and blood orange puree. We also hear Loco now has margarita flights! What’s better than one margarita? 3 of them!
The Scorpion Bar is doing special $5 Diablo Margaritas in honor of the “holiday.” This little devil of a drink is a tiki twisted margarita made with Maestro Diamante, Lejay Black Currant Liqueur & Ginger Beer. (The Diablo is regularly priced at $13).
Temazcal has a lineup of margarita all-stars. From traditional to more creative like the Fresca made with Milagro Silver, St. Germain, strawberry, cucumber, blood orange and passion fruit, mint and fresh lime juice!
Head to Lolita in Fort Point! This new hot spot serves up traditional Mexican good like carne asada and octopus ceviche. They have an extensive tequila list – including flights of tequila – order up your favorite in the form of a delicious margarita!
