Perkins Square Restaurant coming to Southie?

Well, it looks like the long vacant Salsa’s on Dorchester Street in Perkins Square is in a transition state with new owners and hopes for a new liquor license.  Salsa’s (next to the Junction) resided in that spot for almost 20 years.

According to Boston Restaurants News, Perkins Square Restaurant – we’d have to guess that’s a working name – has applied for a liquor license for 118 Dorchester Street.

And guess what?  The manager listed is Michael Shaw – could it be the same Mike Shaw of Loco Taqueria?  Seems like it might be.  Mike Shaw is one of the owners of Loco and members of the Loco restaurant group have ties to both Lincoln and Capo.  Hmmm…. more to follow!

In other restaurant news, right down the street at 11 Dorchester St.,  Publico looks like it could be opening soon!

It would be nice if they did not open Lincoln 2.0
