Papagayo Piñata Party!
Written by Emily Waterfield
Celebramos! We don’t know about you, but our week is not complete without a night of Mexican food—tacos, burritos, margaritas, you name it! Luckily, Papagayo is stepping in to take our Mexican nosh session to the next level. Beginning October 5th, the local Southie watering hole, known for serving the best guac on the block, will be hosting a fiesta from 5-7pm every weekday evening. Stop by after work and unwind with tacos, margaritas, and prizes at Papagayo’s Pinata Party series, which will span the entire month of October. For $15 per person, guests can choose from a variety of taco plates, such as the delicious Ahi Tuna Tacos with seared rare tuna, poblano-napa cabbage slaw, pickled beets, and vinegar radish, and one daily special margarita, made with premiere Maestro Dobel tequila—the world’s first clear, multi-aged tequila.
Like any proper fiesta, no party is complete without a piñata! Step into the ring with “Earl,” Papagayo’s infamous mascot, for the chance to win some great prizes. The lucky batter who knocks the goods out of Earl will win dinner for two, but no contestant will leave empty handed! But wait, it’s not so simple—before entering the ring, contestants must don “drunk goggles”—thus leveling the playing field for all! Sign up with your server or bartender on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Note: Throughout the month “Earl” will be on the move through Boston’s hottest landmarks, so be sure to follow #WheresEarlAt on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for updates on his whereabouts, and to get the inside track on how to cash in on the next top prize!Disclaimer: Earl’s behavior may, or may not be a direct representation of the Papagayo brand. Issues pertaining to Earl should be directed to Bad Donkey, P.O. Box 9999, Tijuana, Mexico 22320. And be sure to follow Earl on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook at #WheresEarlAt.
We’ll see you in the ring!
