New to the Neighborhood: ZaZiBar
SEPTEMBER 26, 2023 – BOSTON, MA – Boston Seaport is thrilled to announce the arrival of ZaZiBar, nestled in the heart of the city’s dynamic Seaport district. This exciting addition to Seaport’s culinary scene brings a taste of Grenada, known as “The Spice Island,” and its traditional Caribbean Asian cuisine along with a cocktail experience that embraces both classic and innovative mixology. ZaZiBar’s arrival in Boston Seaport adds another layer of culinary diversity to the district, which now counts Italian, Japanese, Israeli, Fijian, Indian, Greek, Chinese, American Soul food, and Mexican among its dining options.
Led by Chef Olrie Roberts, ZaZiBar promises to captivate discerning palates with its exceptional offerings and marks the culmination of over a decade of experience and hard work. Born and raised in Grenada, Chef Olrie discovered his passion for food after a career in welding, attending the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Boston and further refining his culinary skills through internships in Spain, developing unique flavor profiles along the way.
ZaZiBar, the third location for the growing ZaZ brand, follows the successful launch of its flagship location in Hyde Park back in 2011 and their expansion to Boston City Hall in 2022 along with their immensely popular Afro-Caribbean ZaZ Fest, and its returning presence at the Holiday Market at Snowport.
With a focus on vegan dishes, the new menu features vegan jackfruit empanadas and smoked jerk tofu. It also includes shrimp with mango chili sauce, salmon and lobster sliders, and bubble waffles with jerk chicken. ZaZiBar’s cocktail menu will be a testament to the artistry and innovation of its experienced mixologist offering classic concoctions and modern creations. Each cocktail is crafted with meticulous attention to detail where guests will expect a delightful fusion of flavors that pays homage to tradition while embracing the contemporary. With its sleek black, white and gold aesthetic reminiscent of the roaring 20s, ZaZiBar exudes sophistication, offering a high-quality dining experience along with an intimate cocktail bar, along with a tropical lounge patio.
“Our next opportunity will be the best opportunity, ZaZiBar promises to be the next elevation of the ZaZ brand. I’m excited to bring this concept to the Seaport as the experience will be 1 of 1,” shares Chef Olrie Roberts.

There is actually no Fijian food in the seaport… What Kokoda (the restaurant) is selling as Kokoda is more like Poke with coconut milk.
