New to the Neighborhood: The Boxes at the Fish Pier
For all you fresh fish lovers, this is news you can sink your teeth into!
Converting old ship containers into cool things is a trend that continues this summer in Southie. The Boxes at the Fish Pier, a new container installation on Northern Ave. will be hosting weekly seafood markets with local vendors on the Southie waterfront!
When not selling fresh seafood, the Boxes will host installations by local non-profits featuring the fishing industry, aquatic ecosystems, sustainability and resiliency, climate change, Boston Harbor, and more.
Appropriately enough, the Boxes launch on Thursday – which is World Ocean Day proudly brought to you by Massport!

Neat finally somewhere to get fresh fish
This sounds exciting. Fresh fish, plus the non-profits featuring some nice things to see.
Love it. We in Southie will benefit from a fresh seafood market. Where do you get seafood? Nowhere nearby in my case.
