Chef Jason Santos’ beloved Coastal Mexican restaurant, Citrus & Salt, has packed up its Back Bay location and is moving to a newer and larger space in Southie’s own Fort Point neighborhood in March.

The new Citrus & Salt will be located at 319 A Street in South Boston and will accommodate more guests with an additional 40 seats indoors, a large outdoor patio, and a chic private room called the Patron Room. With Assembly Designs in charge of the buildout, it promises to be Boston’s most Instagrammable and colorful restaurant, with pink roses adorning the walls, vibrant hand-painted sugar skulls, flamingos, and flowers artfully painted throughout the space.

Citrus & Salt Chef/Owner Jason Santos said, “We are super excited to move our Citrus & Salt restaurant across town to a newer and larger location which offers features that the restaurant needed as we have outgrown the existing space. Guests will now enjoy a larger dining room, additional private dining rooms, an expansive patio and an intimate Patron Room with some fun and exciting surprises for guests.”

The new location of Citrus & Salt will offer lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and a late-night dining program called Tacos After Dark. Many of the cherished menu favorites will still be available, with the addition of many new and innovative dishes and imaginative cocktails.
