New on the Horizon: Mother’s East Tavern to Open on Dorchester Street

Something new is coming our way.
In the ever-changing landscape of new businesses in the neighborhood, another is coming soon. Our friends at Boston Restaurant Talk are reporting that, according to a Boston licensing board hearing page, Mother’s East Tavern is planning on opening in the old Telegraph Hill space on Dorchester Street. The new spot will include a single dining room with two banquettes and a bar that has 15 stools.
Check out this post on Instagram about the name and vibe:

The address is 289 Dorchester Avenue.

In your comments, you have the business listed as being on Dorchester Avenue. In their Instagram post, they list it being on Dorchester Street. It’s the location of the old Telegraph Hill (or going back further, Mullen’s Tavern).
Oh….great catch! I’ll update!
I looked at the City of Boston website regarding the upcoming hearing. It looks like it is Dorchester AVENUE! It’s a bit confusing, even for a lifer!!
I stand corrected!
Maybe the city has it wrong – Mother’s East is replacing the old Telegraph Hill -so maybe it’s something else doing in on Dot Ave?
