New on the Horizon – Cook House – a 352 seat restaurant next to Lincoln on West Broadway

Well, this is exciting news: the team at Broadway Restaurant Group (Lincoln, Capo, Loco, Fat Baby, Hunter’s) is opening a new spot on West Broadway in the old South Boston Chinese and Certified Meatball Company spots.
Last year, the Zoning Board of Appeals approved plans by BRG to open a 352-seat restaurant called Cook House. BRG attorney Ryan Spitz told the board that Chef Nick Dixon will be a part of the new venture. The new restaurant will be made up of small spaces offering different dining opportunities, like seating along an open, wood-fired kitchen, another group of seats around a circular fireplace, and more seats in a more cozy area beyond ceiling-height trees. There will also be a large skylight to the ceiling to lighten things up!
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be offered at Cook House in addition to a bakery cafe!
Construction has begun – so an opening day is in the somewhat near future!
Stay tuned.

Wow, sounds like a great addition to the neighborhood! Lunch spots are hard to come by.
I bet Flynn loves this idea… one company owning all these restaurants, no competition. The guy just doesn’t like options…well, except for booze.
As a resident of the block I would like to see smaller owned & more diverse spots & retail openings. feels like a monopoly.
Move to Newton
or you can look at as turning Southie back to what it was originally, a lot of small shop and retail stores.
I still think the parking lot across the street should be made multi level and minimal charge for parking. it would help all the businesses on West Broadway.
Your so right. There’s no parking on Big Broadway. Multi level parking is a Great idea!
We do indeed need a multi level parking bldg. They do this type of parking in Quincy for an entire area, large multi level. One of the restaurants I go to, it only cost me $2 to park for dinner. It is just a 2 minute walk to the restaurant.
Agree on parking lot also agree we need more retail. Its all banks and restaurants.
Somehow this restaurant group has convinced the neighborhood of 2 things…a monopoly of restaunta is a good thing .. and the 2nd thing, that their food is any good. Looking at you Lincoln, chicken wings are supposed to be crispy.
How can this be s monopoly? Is anyone bring denied the opportunity to open a business? Market studies must show other types of businesses won’t make it or people would be opening them.
Of course someone doesn’t know the meaning of monopoly.. Maureen has an IQ of 40.
Fix the noise level in all these establishments, and the dining experience will be 100% improved.
Agree there are way too many banks, restaurants, nail salons, and real estate “fronts” (never see anyone in them!). We need a pay parking garage across the street and another to support East Broadway spots in the Walgreen’s parking lot.
