New in the Neighborhood: Rocco’s Sports & Rec will open on B Street in Seaport

BOSTON, MA — April 15, 2026 — Rocco’s Sports & Rec, the acclaimed sports bar & restaurant concept from The Garret Group, is set to open its newest location in Boston Seaport. The new location will offer a special Marathon Monday party on April 20, giving guests an early look during one of the city’s most iconic days ahead of its official opening on Thursday, April 23. Following the success of its flagship in New York City and The Garret Group’s popular iteration of Borrachito in Seaport, Rocco’s is bringing its immersive viewing experience, chef-driven dining options, and a design-forward approach to one of Boston’s most dynamic neighborhoods.
Built on the idea that sports are a cultural force that connects people across cities and communities, Rocco’s Sports & Rec is designed to feel as relevant on a Tuesday night as it does during a playoff run. Rocco’s Sports & Rec blends hospitality, energy, and experience into a destination that extends beyond watching the game.
“Boston lives and breathes sports, and Seaport is where people come together to experience that, whether it’s before the game, after the game, or just being part of it,” said Gavin Moseley, Co-founder of The Garret Group. “Rocco’s Sports & Rec taps into that sense of nostalgia and community, creating a place that feels familiar to Boston fans while offering a more elevated, all-day experience.”
That energy carries into the design. The Seaport location introduces a vintage aesthetic, reinterpreted through a modern sports lens. Warm millwork, classic materials, and brass detailing are paired with oversized, jumbotron-like, custom-built high-definition screens strategically placed to ensure every seat has a clear, stadium-like view.
The space is grounded in Boston-specific details and artwork that tie the experience directly to the city’s sports legacy, including a custom oil painting of Larry Bird, a Bill Russell piece by artist Filipp Jenikäe, and a signature Pop-a-Shot installation featuring a Celtics-inspired design. Together, these elements create an environment that feels both locally rooted and distinctly transportive, where the energy of a stadium meets the familiarity of a neighborhood gathering place.
Rocco’s also offers a flexible, season pass–style booking option called The Viewing Membership designed for groups that gather regularly, whether alumni meetups, friend groups, or a standing game-day crew. Guests can secure preferred tables for key matchups, from regular season games to major tournaments, with options that support both recurring plans and one-off occasions. The experience is designed to feel seamless and personal, making Rocco’s a reliable go-to for any group gathering.
The Seaport menu is built for a full-service experience from lunch and dinner through late night and game day, blending elevated American classics with bold, globally influenced flavors inspired by stadium favorites and everyday dining. A Boston-driven focus on fresh, local seafood anchors the offering, with standout dishes like the Lobster Clubhouse, triple-decker sourdough layered with lobster salad, crispy bacon, avocado, and green goddess, and the Lobster Cobb with gem lettuce, poached lobster, charred corn, avocado, and citrus vinaigrette.
Additional highlights include the Brown Butter Buffalo Chicken Paillard, a refined take on a sports bar staple; the Gameday Dip Board, a shareable trio of house-made dips with full accompaniments; and Rocco’s standout Wings & Tenders program, featuring house-brined, ultra-juicy chicken tenders finished in a proprietary, ultra-crispy breading and paired with a range of globally inspired sauces. Designed for group dining, dishes like General Rocco’s Calamari and Crispy Mini Tacos & Wontons round out the menu, alongside loaded nacho trays and craveable handhelds.
Playful desserts like the Batting Helmet Sundae and Oreo Cookie Skillet deliver a nostalgic finish. The result is a menu built for repeat visits, equally suited for a quick lunch, a group dinner, or a full game-day experience.
The beverage program pairs a strong local foundation with a playful, well-executed cocktail list. A rotating lineup of Boston-area breweries, including Lord Hobo, Night Shift Brewing, Mighty Squirrel, and Dorchester Brewing, anchors the beer selection, while cocktails balance familiarity with creative execution. Highlights include the Serena Chilliams, a bright, fruit-forward take on a French 75 with plum, apple, and prosecco; Hey Kid, Catch, featuring mezcal with pineapple, cucumber, jalapeño, and fresh herbs; and the Green Jacket, Rocco’s take on the course classic Transfusion cocktail with vodka, pisco, ginger, red wine syrup. . For groups and regulars, Rocco’s also introduces Liquor & Cocktail Lockers, offering personal bottle storage with custom batched cocktails and brass nameplates for guests who want a more personally tailored experience.
“Seaport has become one of the places where people naturally come together, and Rocco’s builds on that,” said Ariel Foxman, Area Vice President of Brand and Experience at WS Development. “It’s designed to be a go-to for gathering, whether for a game, a group night out, or something in between, and we know it will quickly become a new favorite in the neighborhood.”
